What NxSite Brings to the Table ...

Just as your physician provides a prescription solution (Rx) for physical challenges and threats that you may be facing, NetExec, Inc. provides proven and reliable solutions (Nx) for the challenges faced by individuals, small business owners, faith-based organizations and other web-centric communities.  Our NxSite platform provides web hosting and packaged web solutions uniquely designed to accommodate the needs of personal websites.

We also provide website solutions at no cost for Allied military personnel families through our NxMili platform, enabling personal news and event memorabilia from home to reach our service people wherever they travel with Internet access.

Our Backstory ...

We didn't invent the Internet, but we know those who did!  We were working in technology -- software and computer systems -- when the World Wide Web started.  At that time we were with an organization that had been part of the original DarpaNet project, a progenitor of everything that we all know and love as the Internet today.  We were there and we caught the vision early on: everyone could be connected to all the information they would need to make better decisions and live better lives!

At first, it seemed like a foreign language, sort of a mystical, "Field of Dreams", a kind of "if you build it, they will come" gig, but the concept soon took on a life of its own!  Global citizenship and global commerce began to come home to cottages and villages in a very big way. Then the Captains of Industry began to get lusty:

They were cynical of the whole proposal in the beginning, wagging their heads sagely and declaring that "Content is King!  Until there is real content out there, nothing is going to happen."  But in only a couple of years, there was "content" everywhere.  Websites were springing up from nothingness and some of them were REALLY interesting!  This brought out the dreamweavers in droves and shortly thereafter, your average Jane & Joe Villager needed a second mortgage in order to afford to build a website - to say nothing of a good understanding of networking and computer science.

Though tools and accessibility got better as time went by, by 1996 the cost of doing business on the web remained unaffordable to independents and entrepreneurs -- unless you were willing to play a new form of high stakes poker called, "The Emperor's New Clothes".

Tim Berners-Lee, the genius who brought the World Wide Web to the Internet, has never been opposed to healthy competition, and neither are we.  But we had been steeped in his original and lasting vision:

"The people who built the Internet and Web have a real appreciation of the value of individuals and the value of systems in which individuals play their role, with both a firm sense of their own identity and a firm sense of some common good...  We believe that if we all work for what we think individually is good, then we as a whole will achieve more..." (quoted from Weaving the Web by Tim Berners Lee; published by Harper Business, © 1999, 2000).

We rejected the idea that costs upwards of thousands of dollars had anything to do with the common good, so we became advocates for individual rights and access to the benefits of Cyberspace.

At this juncture between challenge and vision, NetExec, Inc. was established in 1999 with our original mission: to provide support, access and resources to people who were being orphaned by their companies as the downsizing trend gained momentum.  As we built our tools and services, our business has evolved over time and we are now able to provide affordable, user-friendly solutions for website development, hosting and management - including extensive features to enable effective online management of businesses and business issues.
